Enforcement Levels and Appeals

:crossed_swords: The Viking Translation

  • Most mistakes start with a friendly nudge. Keep it up and it climbs: Reminder, Warning, Silence (a time out in the stocks), Suspension (banished for a while), Ban (exiled for good).
  • Strikes fade after 6 clean months.
  • The worst stuff skips straight to exile: being under 18, selling, doxxing, scams, threats or hate, anything sexual involving minors, ban dodging, hacking, harassment campaigns, leaking our hall to cause harm, and fake identities or declarations.
  • Every decision can be appealed to the admins, and the mod who made the call doesn’t judge the appeal.
  • Can sign in? Tap Appeal a Decision. Can’t? Use the Report, Dispute or Appeal form or email [email protected] with “Appeal” in the subject.
  • Bring proof. The burden of proof is on you, not the mod.

If this short version and the official version below ever seem different, the official version wins.

The official version

This is exactly what happens when a rule is broken, so nobody is surprised and everyone is treated the same, moderators included. It goes with the Community Rules and Code of Conduct and the Member Agreement.

The five enforcement levels

Level What happens What it means for you
1. Reminder The post may be edited, hidden or moved, and you get a friendly private note. No lasting mark. Just a heads up.
2. Official Warning A formal warning by private message, recorded on your account. Counts as a strike.
3. Silence You can read everything but can’t post, reply, chat or message for 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Counts as a strike.
4. Suspension You are signed out and can’t sign in for 7 days or 30 days. Counts as a strike.
5. Permanent Ban Your account is closed for good and you may not come back with a new one. Can still be appealed once.

Strikes reset over time. A strike stops counting after 6 months with no new strikes. A clean record gets a clean slate.

How far it goes depends on what was broken and how often

Minor violations

Off topic posts, posting in the wrong board, mild rudeness, low effort spam, missing content warnings, arguing a moderator’s decision in public.

Times in 6 months Level
1st Reminder
2nd Official Warning
3rd Silence, 24 hours
4th Silence, 7 days
5th and beyond Suspension, 30 days, then review for a ban

Serious violations

Personal attacks, shaming, bullying or dogpiling, public vendor links, affiliate or referral codes for a perk, presenting yourself as a medical professional giving advice, pressuring someone into a protocol, ignoring a member’s block, recruiting members to other platforms, bringing outside rivalries, vendor wars or drama from other communities into PepUnfiltered, trash talking a rival group or its members, sexual content, repeated off topic disruption after a warning.

Times in 6 months Level
1st Official Warning, and the content is removed
2nd Silence, 3 to 7 days
3rd Suspension, 30 days
4th Permanent Ban

A serious violation that is especially harmful may start at a higher level. The moderator must explain why.

Sharing member interactions outside PepUnfiltered (screenshots, copies, recordings or retelling) is a serious violation that starts at a 30 day Suspension on the first offense, even if no harm came of it. If it caused a member problems anywhere else, it’s a permanent ban (see number 10 below).

:no_entry: Zero tolerance: immediate permanent ban

These skip every other level. The account is removed right away and all content involved is taken down.

  1. Being under 18.

  2. Selling, trading, brokering or arranging the sale of peptides, medications or supplies anywhere on the site, including private messages, or collecting group buy money.

  3. Doxxing: sharing anyone’s real name, location, workplace, photos, contacts or other identifying details without their permission, or trying to unmask an anonymous member.

  4. Scamming or fraud: taking money from members, phishing, fake giveaways, impersonating a vendor or a staff member.

  5. Threats of violence, telling anyone to harm themselves, or hate speech aimed at a group of people.

  6. Any sexual content involving minors. It is also reported to the authorities.

  7. Ban evasion: making or using another account to get around a silence, suspension or ban. Every account involved is banned.

  8. Attacks on the site or its members: malware, hacking attempts, scraping member data, spam bots.

  9. Organized harassment: coordinating others to target a member, here or on another platform.

  10. Taking PepUnfiltered outside and causing harm: sharing screenshots, copies or recordings of member interactions outside PepUnfiltered that lead to a member having problems with another website, community, vendor or group, or sharing anything to embarrass, threaten or out a member.

  11. Fraudulent membership: a fake or borrowed name, date of birth, phone number or email, or false, missing or out of date declarations about being a vendor, reseller, admin or moderator in the peptide community.

Zero tolerance bans can be appealed once, except for being under 18 (you’re welcome to apply again after your 18th birthday).

What moderators must do every time

  • Tell you which rule was broken and what level was applied, unless telling you would put someone at risk.
  • Record the action and the reason on your account so every moderator sees the same history.
  • Never act on a dispute they are personally part of. Another moderator or an admin handles it.
  • Bans other than zero tolerance emergencies need an admin’s approval. In a zero tolerance emergency a moderator may suspend right away, and an admin reviews it within 48 hours.
  • Never reveal who reported you.

How to appeal

Anyone can appeal any enforcement action. Every action we take tells you the reason and the rule number, so you know exactly what your appeal needs to answer. Appeals go only to the admins. The moderator who made the decision does not decide the appeal and cannot read it.

If you can still sign in (Reminder, Warning or Silence):

  1. Tap Appeal a Decision in the sidebar.
  2. A private message to the admin team opens with a short form. Fill in what happened, which action you’re appealing and why you think it was unfair.
  3. Send it within 14 days of the action.

If you can’t sign in (Suspension or Ban): use the public Report, Dispute or Appeal form (no account needed), or email [email protected] with “Appeal” in the subject from the email address on your account, with your username and the same details.

The burden of proof is on you. Send facts and proof (links, dates, screenshots from the site you were part of) that show you did not break the rule. Opinions about the moderator are not proof.

What happens next

  • An admin reviews the full record, the content involved and your explanation, and replies within 7 days.
  • The outcome is one of three: upheld, reduced or overturned. If it’s overturned, the strike is removed from your record.
  • One appeal per action. The admin decision is final.
  • Appealing never makes things worse for you. Harassing moderators about a decision, in public or private, is its own violation.

About leaked screenshots: the username watermark shows which account was signed in, not who was holding the phone. We treat it as strong evidence, not proof, and you can appeal. We never post anyone’s username publicly as a punishment.

Think a moderator broke the Moderator Code of Conduct? Use Appeal a Decision as well. Reports about moderators go straight to the admins and are kept private.
